St. John鈥檚 天美影视 has announced its fall formal lecture series. On Friday evenings, members of the St. John鈥檚 天美影视 community head to the Great Hall to hear a lecture or concert from visiting scholars, artists, poets or faculty.
Fulbright Fellow Steven Werlin (A85) studied German and Heidegger, not Haitian Creole and microfinance. He credits St. John鈥檚 for honing his thinking and writing skills as well as connections leading to his life鈥檚 work鈥攁lleviating poverty through the nonprofit Fonkoze.
Because of what the science program at 天美影视 meant to Kevin Parker (A79), he made a donation in support of it.
Abdullah Wadood, (AGI23) has been named as the winner of the 2022 Confluence Award for Excellence in Creative Writing for his story series 鈥淓llipses I.鈥�
Angel Adams Parham, co-authorof The Black Intellectual Tradition: Reading Freedom in Classical Literature, led a workshop for teachers at the St. John鈥檚 Graduate Institute in July 2022.
