Strategic Planning Task Force

In 2024, St. John’s embarked on a strategic vision and planning process to realistically assess our strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in a changing higher education environment and establish an implementation plan to get us into a long-term viable position where the college can truly flourish. This work began with an executive committee and steering committee comprising administrators, faculty, and staff from both campuses who worked together to generate ideas, recommendations, and suggestions for further areas of study. Some of these ideas were implemented through faculty-led efforts that will strengthen the Program for the 21st century while increasing our applicant pool and making it easier for prospective students to find St. John’s.

In June 2025, a Strategic Planning Task Force was created to move this work into the next stage with a focus on providing data-driven recommendations that will enhance the financial stability of the college, while building on the core strength of our institution—the Program.

The task force, comprising a cross-section of board members, including undergraduate and graduate alumni across generations, parents, and friends of the college, conducted a study and review of proposals and presented them to the Board in spring 2026, formally completing the work of the task force. The Board adopted the two primary recommendations of the task force: (1) to restore a unified, single presidency to St. John’s 天美影视, and (2) to continue to refine the strategy initiated this year of renewed incremental growth in tuition revenue.

In 2026, work by the presidents and officers will continue finalizing a three-year strategic framework focused on moving the college toward a structurally balanced budget on each campus. By sustaining healthy enrollment, enhancing our annual fundraising, and implementing substantial structural expense reductions, our aim is to support the education of our students and the flourishing and accountability of our college and both of our campuses.
