An utter joy in every way: seminars, Santa Fe setting (with its opera, chamber music, choral group, sun and low humidity, general beauty), the rare opportunity to be with people who love great books the way we do and share our love for classical music and good conversation. We鈥檝e made wonderful lasting friendships here over the years that make each new year like the best kind of family reunion.鈥�

Conversation with a roomful of interested adults who have read the same great work and who want to figure out together what it means. An absolutely joyful experience, probably like no other you have in your ordinary day to day.鈥�

The seminars were a discourse between brilliant students and tutors searching for a better understanding of texts. The conversation was respectful and was a true discussion delving into the question presented by the tutors. We did not speak past each other. And the tutors had just as much curiosity about the exchange and text as the students. Each day, the time flew by.鈥�

Summer Classics is like a nice cold drink on a hot summer day, it refreshes and reinvigorates your mind. It is the opportunity to discuss important themes and topics with other curious individuals across a spectrum of ages and life experience.鈥�

An intellectual feast. You begin with a great book (generally) of your choice. You allow yourself--at home--a more careful reading than normal, knowing you'll be discussing the book with others who are just as interested. In seminar, you learn from what others say, and you learn from what you say, too. This setting is rife with discovery. It can be fun, or hard work, or both. On campus, you can relax and extend the conversation over a meal. The campus in Santa Fe is an ideal setting and the city is unique.鈥�
